Ahead of Council Hearing, NYPD Releases Trove of Info on Surveillance Tech

The Legal Aid Society received a trove of surveillance records from the NYPD in response to a Freedom of Information Law request. The wide range of documents turned over includes purchase orders for Digidog and internal memos outlining use of augmented reality, facial recognition, and GPS tracking systems.
